Pectis caymanensis var. caymanensis - (Urb.) Rydb.

This plant is not endemic to the Island since it is also found on Cuba, it has red-strigillose (Hairs) at the base of the leaf.

Pectis caymanensis var. robusta, is a Grand Cayman endemic species with larger and coarser in appearance and has white-strigillose at the base of the leaf.
