Although the recent edition of the Flora of the Cayman Islands attributes
Adam as the authority for this plant, the
plant list revised the authority in 2012 to be (Jacq.) Roem. & Schult.

Habitat; Dry thickets and coastal areas
Status; Very rare and at risk. It was thought to have been extinct here but it was recently found on the verge of a road on North side
Notes; Horticulture potential; Like the common name suggest the flowers are angelic and fragrant, this drought and salt tolerant tree is a stunning addition to any landscape.
